Ships is a small senior studio. We design, engineer and launch full-stack products with founders who can’t afford to be average — embedded in your team, paid by the month, no agency theatre.
Selected work.
Built to ship.
Four representative case studies across product, brand and launch engineering.
Start a projectEmbedded, not outsourced
We sit inside your Slack, your Linear, your design files. We work the way your team works, with the same standups and shipping rhythm. No deliverable theatre.
Only senior, only signal
Every Ships designer and engineer has shipped real products at scale. No juniors, no offshoring, no PMs explaining the work back to you. Just builders.
Fast, focused delivery
Daily Looms, every-other-day Figma drops, weekly demo calls. Our average time from kickoff to first user-facing ship is 6 working days.
One team. The whole picture.
Most agencies hand you off across four contractors. We do brand, product, and engineering under one roof — so the work stays coherent from logo to commit.
Brand & identity
Naming, logo, system, motion. The kind of brand that survives a Series B.
Product design
Native iOS, web app, design systems, complex flows, hard problems.
Full-stack engineering
TypeScript, Next.js, Postgres, Swift, infra. We write the code we design.
AI integration
RAG, agents, evals, fine-tunes — built into product, not duct-taped on.
Launch & growth
App Store launches, performance, SEO, analytics, lifecycle. The boring wins.
0 → 1 sprints
Two weeks, a small team, a real shipped MVP. For when you need to move now.
Most products don’t fail
from lack of effort.
They fail from
Six contractors, four time zones, and a brief that gets a little quieter at every handoff. The work doesn’t fail at any one step — it fails between them.
One person for UI. Another for branding. Someone else for motion.
Three contractors who’ve never spoken to each other.
An engineer translating Figma to code, and a PM translating engineer to founder.
Six review loops, four time zones, two missed launches.
Months lost coordinating between people who should have been one team.
A product that feels exactly like a committee made it.
We built Ships so you only have to talk to one team. Brand, design, and engineering — together — for the whole arc of the product.
No agency theatre.
Just five honest steps.
We’ve cut every step that doesn’t make the product better. What’s left is the work, and the people doing it, visible to you the whole way.
- Step 01
You write us a paragraph
Skip the briefing form. Tell us what you're building, who it's for, and what hurts. Same day, you'll have a real human reply with three concrete first moves.
Next → 02 - Step 02
We meet for 30 minutes
No sales deck. We pull up your product, your numbers, and your roadmap and tell you exactly what we'd do in your seat. If it's not a fit, we'll tell you.
Next → 03 - Step 03
Two-page proposal
Scope, who's on the team, weekly deliverables, risk register, the price. One signature. No retainer minimums.
Next → 04 - Step 04
We embed and ship
Day one we're in your Slack, your Linear, your repo. Daily Looms, every-other-day Figma drops, weekly demo. You see the work as it happens.
Next → 05 - Step 05
Launch, then keep going
We don't disappear at launch. Most clients renew month-to-month for 9–14 months because the work compounds.
Ongoing
The kindest words
we’ve been paid in.
Ships replaced our entire design contractor stack. The first week, we shipped more than the previous quarter. They write production code, which is the part nobody believes until it happens.
I’ve worked with seven design agencies in twelve years. This is the first one I’d hire again before they finished the project.
Brand, web, iOS, and the back-end Postgres queries — all from the same team in three months. We launched on time. We never launch on time.
The Loom updates alone are worth the retainer. I always know what’s shipping next without scheduling a single meeting.
Three ways to work with Ships.
Flat monthly fees. No statements of work, no time-sheets, no surprise invoices. Pause or cancel between months — most clients don’t, but you can.

Questions?
Here are answers.
Flat monthly fee for our embedded plan. Sprint plan is a fixed two-week price. No timesheets, no scope statements, no surprise invoices. You can pause or cancel between months without penalty.
We have a tight bench of long-time collaborators we trust. If a project needs a 3D specialist, an iOS animation engineer, or a motion designer, we bring them in and remain accountable for the work — you still talk to one team.
Day one we join your Slack, your Linear (or GitHub Projects), and your repo. Daily Looms record what we shipped that day. Every other day, a Figma drop. Once a week, a 30-minute demo. That's it. Async by default.
Production code. We commit directly to your repo and ship to your infra. We're a TypeScript / Next.js / Postgres / Swift studio, but we work in whatever stack the team is on. We don't hand off mockups for someone else to build.
Yes — every week, plus async whenever you need. We just don't run on calls. Loom is faster for both of us, and you get a permanent record of every decision.
Tell us. Loud. We'd rather throw out a direction in week one than ship something nobody believes in. The first two weeks are explicitly designed to find the version of the product everyone's excited to launch.
Yes. We're SOC 2 type II in progress and happy to sign NDAs and DPAs the same day. We've shipped products under HIPAA, PCI, and GDPR.
Let’s build something
worth shipping.
One paragraph, one signature, one team. Reply same day, kickoff this week, first ship within ten.
